PS3 Cheat Enabler Error
PS3 Cheat Enabler Error –
02-24-2012,10:45 PM
Hi When ever i try to make a ps3 game cheat, the Cheat enabler give me the following error
"Error creating elf file: make sure you have the needed ps3 keys! The eboot made was a c-replacer eboot, Its used by replacing the eboot file o your harddrive and loading the game with a backup manager, if any DLC. Updates, or patches are instaeed, this type of eboot will not work."
Any idea what I am doing wrong? I downloaded the required files and place the ps3 keys in the right folder.
Is there a place I can download a collection of ps3 cheat .pkg? All the ones that I found has no download link anymore. or the link no longer works

I still have most of them. What are you looking for? Also instead of putting the .ps3 folder (keys) where it tells you to, put it in the subfolder of the cheat enabler. It will move/copy it to the right location. It seems to be different between Windows XP and Vista/7

Here ya go
I've renamed them to the game name with the game id and how it's installed meaning if it's an update pkg (no icon) a xmb icon (gotta select the cheat from xmb after loading game from multiman) or if the game needs to be moved to a subfolder of dev_hdd0/game after installing the pkg files which will turn it into a PSN style game. If the game needs to be moved look for the game id of the pkg in multiman's file manager. The only 2 that need to be moved are Ar Tonelico and Star Ocean. I never got Star Ocean to work right. I think you need to do the install data normally, then install the pkg, then move the files. On those 2 just make a backup of your PARAM.SFO and Eboot.bin in case you decide to stop using the cheat pkg and restore your original copy. These are all supposed to be region free but if you have a problem with one not working, use an SFO editor and change the game ID of your backup to match what I've got as the game id in the file names. The update ones will need to be changed if they don't match

no problem. Just return the favor to someone down the road if you can help them. Just remember if you don't see an XMB icon, then it's an update package and when you launch the game normally the cheats will be active. I think the thread is still up either here or on that other forum. It will have better instructions and what each cheat will do in game
