PS3 Bluray movies region

Hi
did anyone manage to change the region code on the PS3 for bluray movies with the debug firmware that was on the web? I know it had some options for the DVD and Blu regions.

We have custom firmware now so should not be too hard for someone to create a patch or homebrew that can change regions.

Blu-ray Games Blu-ray movies do not partition the first partition area: Americas, East Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Southeast Asia); the second area: Europe, Africa; the third area: Russia, China; Japan, Korea and Hong Kong version of PS3 U.S. version can play Blu-ray movie discs is the same area as long as you can. Blu ray movies are region coded. I know games for PS3 are not.
I was asking if there was a way now for people to change region code for Bluray so UK PS3s can play Region A discs and vice versa.

Its easy to use.

First go to - #1498083 - Pastie
And copy all that code and put into a text file called patch.txt

Then to apply it, just use the lv2 patcher that was out. Install it if you dont have it - http://kmeaw.com/tmp/lv2.pkg

Then ftp to the folder in dev_hdd0/game/ whatever the folder of lv2 patcher is. Im not sure exactly.

And copy the patch.txt file you saved earlier, over the one in this folder. Then just run lv2 patcher from the xmb.

These are the different regions you can set it to :

0x83 = Japan
0x84 = USA
0x85 = Europe/Middle East/Africa
0x87 = UK
0x89 = Australia
0x8E = Hong Kong

In the code posted above change the 0x85 on line 20 to whatever version you want.
