Hi, all. First I want to start off by saying I tried to search this on Google, but the results are not that helpful, maybe I use the wrong keywords, so I decided to post a thread.

So here's my problem, I recently got a HDTV, and I want to test out to see if blu-ray movie are really that much better than DVD. So I got 3 Blu-ray movie: Night at the Museum 2, Predators and Knowing. I plug them into the PS3, and only 1, Knowing, was recognized by the PS3. The other two, after I insert the disc, nothing happens. The BD-Rom thing is not listed under the video tab.

The one that works playback perfectly, but why aren't the other two working? They are not scratch or anything...

I know that downgrading could lead to problem for movie playback, but I haven't done that. So I tired plugging the disc in now in jailbreak mode. I open up Gaia Manager, and yeah, for the other 2, nothing was detected. But for the one that work, it detected something is in the drive.

    Anyone know what's the problem?

    thanks.

btw- there isn't any movie ripper homebrew for ps3 is there? the only way i found is to use ps3 linuix, which is unfortunately disabled.

Right now my 3 Blu-ray work (2001: Space Oddyssey, 2010: Year we make contact, Video games Level 2 (BD-DVD combo)) but the DVD (VGL) DOESN'T. Odd.

also if there back ups you have to make sure the INDEX file system is set to 0100 and not 0200 so the ps3 understands the structure of the disc.
