    Good evening,

I seem to be having some problems with my PS3 Blu Ray drive.

It will not accept a disc or eject. A bit like this movie

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJsUDS46jfw"]YouTube - PS3 Problem: Blu Ray Disc Drive will NOT take in disc[/ame]

When i press the eject button the ps3 beeps 3 times.

I have tried a realignment and have also tested the worm screw battery and it seems to be functioning.

The sensor on the lid seems to be operating as when insert disc with the ps3 off , it turns on.

I have searched online for a fix without prevail, any tips or fixes would be appericated, this forum is unfortuanly my last resort, if a FAIL, i am going to have to purchase a newdrive

iv had the drive apart, checked the motor is working and realigned also the sensor is working fine as when i place disc in the ps3 boots up, however the mechaisum that pull the disc in, is not functioning.

When i press the eject button the ps3 beeps 3 times..

    Any ideas? Any one?

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l99Gi_TiZzY&feature=related"]YouTube - PS3 broken bluray drive mechanics working[/ame]

when i try this nothing happens any ideas? could it be the controller board , if so how can i test it?

    Many Thanks

With the lid off like the last picture you send, when you push one of the two arms out to the side, does the gears/motors turn on.

If not, it could be one of the three little switchs on the bottom, are not working or the cable for them is not plugged in tight.

Has anyone taken apart the drive already?

If so, originally when the drive was taken apart, was a disc inside?

Yes the drive has been taken apart by myself, it was opened before by the previous owner to take out the disc, i realigned it etc.

When i push the arms back the blue light will blink but nothing happens wit the drive at all..

Do you remember the point in when the drive stopped working? like was somebody inserting a game? mabey someone jammed the gear and rod assembly. If the rods and gears are in wrong spot you will get an error. With eject button. If you are the one who broke it you would know it got jammed. But it sounds like someone else did. Or even the drive could just have a defect. Who knows. But I am thinking that all the white cogs/rods gears are in wrong position or one of them isn't in right. 99% sure thats your problem. Watch the entire video please.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzHPRGHFjpw"]junker15[/ame] knows exactly what i'm saying. Junker15
