    Hi all,

As the topic describes, my PS3 (original fat version) has a disc drive that does not work and the PS3 is blinking blue whenever I start up, try to eject. It also beeps three times. I bought an extra drive to see if it will fix it. I have looked into needing to "remarry" the drive however, in the videos I've seen the drives are able to accept and eject discs. However, I cannot get any action from the drive. I have attempted to press the two inside buttons to "simulate" insertion of a disk. I am not getting any movement of any parts including the reader, motor or anything. I recently bought another drive that was "suppose" to work. I have tried different combinations of boards (board attached to the drive) to drive hardware but that does not affect anything at all. I hope I covered all of the troubleshooting information needed for characterizing my issue.

I have been searching for an answer for some time now but I haven't found one. I am really on my last leg here guys. Could you help me out?

    Thanks.
