PS3 60GB Strange Issue

Ive just repaired a PS3 for a customer.

The Laser was faulty.

I replaced the laser booted the PS3 works fine.

I logged in and went onto the dashboard and all the sounds are working prefectly.

I loaded MW3 via the Blu-Ray the game loaded up but there is NOOO Sound?

I am connected via HDMI Cable.

Any Ideas???

do you have sound in the xmb dashboard?

This is what has thrown me. So its not the TV. Its not the HDMI Cable. Why would the machine play sound from the Dash but not from the Blu Ray?

Right everyone quick update.

I plugged the PS3 into the Network and ran Default Settings. Automatic Update was turned off. So turned that back on and did an update from the internet everything is now working.
