This is the same PS3 mentioned in my thread about it not being able to update the firmware from v2.76.
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f177/ps3...002f147-63935/ (PS3 US 60GB error code 8002F147)
I have tried all the applicable methods in the "unbricking thread" below. I also installed a brand new CMOS battery.
It asks me to set the date and time on every boot.
It is stuck on:
01/01/2009 12:00am
This is not the date of manufacture, nor is it the first or last time I had the firmware update issues.
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f177/un-...-system-64094/ (UN-BRICK'ing your PS3 system!)
I can save games, play games and BD DVD movies, that don't need higher than v2.76.
System settings, such as video resolution, theme, etc, all save fine and work after reboot.
Any clues garyopa?
BTW, if this stops the JB from working, I'll let you know. Haven't seen anyone release a compiled v2.76 hex for the devices I have yet, so I can't test that.
