PS3 3.55 OFW no logic board

I have a fat ps3 with 3.55 OFW but with NO logic board. Can someone tell me the steps to remarry it to another logic board? Is it possible to install CFW to do the trick?

I have a psp with custom fw so I might be able to use that as well.

you can try rogero cfw i installed it without any logic board but could never get the games to work you can download it here

i decided to remarry a new logic board to my ps3 instead to save all the trouble you can follow a tutorial on this here might be better and easier all round as not all games work discless

sorry i miss read what you said you need to enter factory service mode to be able to remarry a logic board its all in the 2nd link i posted you dont need cfw to be able to do that you just need a method of getting into factory service mode ie dongle or some psp's work for doing it so i believe

So I will need my psp in oreder to use it as psp jig? Will that be useful on this OFW? Sorry I dont know much.

I am scared if I do something bad with no logic board like bricking or staying on an updating loop on my ps3. Should I be cautious at something like that?

only some psp's work for this i have an early psp an it didnt work so iv never used it if you go through the pages on home page you will find it there from people that have used it and got it working i use an e3 card reader
