PS2 Save onto PS3 ? –
Is it possible to put a PS2 game save onto a USB Drive and then transfer the ps2 save from the usb drive onto my ps3 ?
I've seen a memory card adaptor for the ps3. Can I use this with a usb drive or must i use a memory card ?
The PS3 memory card adapter lets you take data from your old PS2 memory cards and put it on your hard drive. I belive it connects to the PS3 via USB so theres a good chance you can also use it to back up your games on your computer.
As for moving it around via a usb drive, you'll still need something to move the data to your pc. So in my opinion you're better off trying to get one of these adapters and save yourself the hassle.
The problem for me is that i don't have a ps2 or memory card. I'm getting pro evo 07 to play on my ps3 and wanted to update it with the latest game saves.
I could get a ps2 max drive + memory card + transfer cable to get the save onto my machine but thats going to cost a bit.
I would of thought you could somehow get the save onto the ps3 via a usb drive but maybe i'm wrong.
Thanks for the offer of help. What would you convert the file to though and how will i get it onto the ps3 ?
Just give me a link to the file you want converted, or attach it in the forums.
I'll explain the rest later.
What region is the game?
PAL, NTSC-U or NTSC-J
The game is ntsc-u
It is Pro Evo Soccer 2007 and is released tomorrow. Once its released the euro game save of the same game will be converted to ntsc-u. Once this is done i'll let you have the link.
I've pm'd you with a link to a file. Hopefully you can get it working.
I'm on it.
I'll have the save ready in a hour.
I'm eating right now.
