Possible fixing of [80028F10] with PARAM.sfo editor?
Possible fixing of [80028F10] with PARAM.sfo editor? –

Hi,
I'm currently in a situation where I have my PS3 connected to my PC via TV card (Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP). I know it sucks, but this will be my rig for a while, so I'm trying to get the most of it.
Anyways, the problem:
Upon starting Heavy Rain, I get the 80028F10 error (can't play game with current video setting). My PS3 is set to a 576i resolution, connected via standard A/V cables, the console is EU, as is the game (EU/PAL).
I managed to borrow the NTSC version of the game, but again I get the same error. I googled this thing up a bit, and seen that there were a couple of suggestions to edit the PARAM.sfo file, choose the preffered game resolution, and then copy the modified file to the game directory on the hdd, overwriting the original.
I then downloaded a 50kb app called PS3SFOEdit, loaded the original PARAM.sfo and ticked the 576i box, saved it and copied it to the PS3, but again got welcomed with an error
. I then loaded the edited file with the app, but saw that the app saved all the edited info EXCEPT the audio and video modifications
So, what I'm asking is - is it possible to trick the game to play in SD via .sfo file editing, if so - what am I doing wrong - should I use another app, or?
Any kind of help is welcome.

try holding power on your ps3 until your ps3 reboots...and it'll try to accept the video tv settings...

Thanks for the response.
I've tried pretty much every online suggested option available, including the mentioned - but nothing worked for me.
What I'm trying to do here is to somehow edit the PARAM.sfo file, so that I can get any game that gives me a 80028F10 error to work on my user defined screen resolution.
I just need help figuring out why PS3SFOEdit won't save video settings parameters.

Works fine for me in SD. Well I say fine, it looks like shit. But you know what I mean. My param file already has all video modes except 1080 ticked. Do you want it?
edit: here it is if you want to try it http://www.multiupload.com/Q2O0Z8BD77
