I made a big mistake on my PS3 last night, I updated to CFW 3.55 and attempted to install Gaia Manager but was told no space, only my PS3 only has about 5 or 6 gigs of free space shown in Gaia Manager and says zero in the XMB. I deleted all the extra stuff I had and I mistakenly deleted Gaia Manager as well so I cannot FTP in with it to copy off some games or anything to increase the space the PS3 thinks it has. I do not want to format it, so is there anything I can do to force install the PKG? If not is there any other means I could copy something off to make room (I deleted all I had except for a couple save games).

Lastly, would it work if I swapped the hard drives out and plugged in the current full drive as a USB drive on the PS3 and then used that to copy / ftp off all the data then swap the hard drive into the unit? I know, lots of questions, but I would prefer not to lose all I had over this mistake on my part.

Perhaps I could boot gaia manager or something similar from a DVD? Just thinking out loud.
