Phat PS3 with broken LAN & Wireless ... any help?

Hey all,

I have a phat PS3 and it will not connect to a network either by LAN or Wireless. I have already bought the part which replaces the Wireless part (is it also attached to the USB's) it still will not find any wireless networks (I had activated 3 networks but still no luck, but my PS3 slim connects to 2 of the wireless networks [3rd being a 5GHz network]). The yellow light always stays light up at the back of the PS3 also. I have tried swapping the silver ribbon on the inside and also tried reversing the ribbon but still no luck.

Does anyone on here have any idea's?

It's on OFW 3.72.

i take it that you have already tried going into network settings on the ps3 and manually configuring it?

Yeh, I have tried to manually set the IP for both wireless and wired connections. Once I do the manual option I then test for internet connection and it comes up as failed with the error code 800..... something (sorry I cannot get the code right now as I am at work).
