i think binks are encrypted or compressed gamefiles as most of them. i would suggest you look rather on xentax forum than anywhere else for those kind of files
I grabbed some tools from there including quickbms. I'm not having trouble with BIK anymore but PAM/PMF/PAMF files are still giving me a headache. There were some PSP tools that worked with them but they can't handle 6 channel audio. I started a thread where I'm going to post some multiMAN Motion Backgrounds. I put one up for now, but I'll have more up over the next couple days. It's late and I'm tired of downloading/converting/uploading for the night

for pamf take a look at sdk 3.60 if you really want, or i can pm you details
believe it or not, I've got all the SDK's on my hard drive already. Been either too lazy or too busy to set one of them up. That's not a bad idea tho. I'm sure what I need is in there.
I used to use the Bink converter in RAD Video Tools to edit my binks a while back. I don't remember if it also converted to avi though. Check out radgametools . com and click on download section. It is a fee one. It's also good for vp6 files if you have the codec.
I'm not sure but I know one video converter can convert any videos to avi or divx for playing, I think you can search on the Google"video conversion software" or kvisoft for it. With this converter, you can play any video on PS3.
I've used "AppGeeker Video Converter" to convert video files to avi file format without any problem. The device presets work fine to view the converted videos on the PS3 & other Sony products. It's works well, converts from a range of source video formats.
Still, it is worth a look.
