PAL games on Ps3?

Is there any issue when it comes to PAL/EUR games on a jailbreak ps3?

Such as downloading a PAL backup (instead of NTSC/USA), and trying to run it through an external drive?

I know back in the dreamcast days, PAL games sometimes appear funky video wise on the screen...

PS3 Games are free region

and for downloading games we are not sure if they are gunna work or not because there is many chance they will get corrupt .so dont count on that .

As Amp2006 said; PS3 games are region free and as long as your TV is pretty recent and supports the PAL signal (if you've got a HDTV then it's a non-issue anyhow) you're good to go. In regards to downloading games? They have the same compatibility as dumping your own, unless the person who dumped it to their machine did a ****-eyed job (like Amp said) and ends up with corrupt files.

Still, downloading is naughty :P

Strangely I have found the odd PAL purchased game to actually be displaying in NTSC.

Have forced PAL from the menu, but as soon as the disc kicks in to bootup, it switches into NTSC mode.

Can't remember which games offhand though, maybe some of the earlier ones?

I played a PAL version of Uncharted 2 on my PS3 and my TV was bought in 1995-1996 (old tube Zenith). Did not have any issue and it didnt ask me to choose anything.
