I've had this PS3 for about 2 years now, it broke about a year and a half ago. due to my lazyness and other things in my life i never got it seen too or anything.

The PS3 just does not read any disc based media at all, no noises, disc is in the same position it was as when i put it in the PS3. nothing

A shop in my local market offers PS3 repairs, would they be able to fix/replace the BR-Drive in this PS3?, and would it cost much?.....or would it be easier to just buy a new one? (money is real big issue here for me)

It's out of warranty (the sticker has been removed)
