So, I have a 40GB fat PS3, which is jailbroken. No demos, not many things on it, so why does it say I have 7.1GB out of 37 free? I go into Multiman and and go into the file browser, and have 5 options. 2 different hard drives, my computer's IP address, the PS3 disc, and my external. The folders in my harddrive that is on the PS3 that says it has about 7 GB free are:

    BDCOVERS
    cntink
    crash_report
    drm
    game
    GAMES
    home
    lost+found
    mms
    music
    savedata
    theme
    tmp
    vm
    vsh
    widget

Are all of these necessary? are there ones I can delete and not worry about screwing up the hard drive? I can't see a folder like MMS be anything of importance... Any help would be much appreciated!

have you installed the games to the internal HD?

i found that the games i had installed t the drive such as farcry 2, had taken up a hell of alot of space. my suggestion is to turn your ps3 on, go to game then game saves i think. take a look at the games in there. should tell u the size of those games

Check the Game Data folder under games, that has the data the games copy off of the bd disc onto the ps3, certain games like gt5 take up a hell of a lot of space

Maybe your system hard drive is small.
Or you can try to clear the folder \hdd0\game\. This folder may have the file when play the games.
