NO BLURAY DRIVE HELP NEEDED !

i have a fat 40gb ps3 it has no bluray drive in it or logic board
when i try install update it gose to 70 then errors iv been reading about someone on this fourm called warren with firmwares BdB will that bypass the bluray or will it still error has any 1 got any bypasses or fixes with out me buying a new drive thanks

You need to use one of the blu ray bypass firmwares. If that doesn't work, try service mode(if you have anything that can put your ps3 into service), and use jaicrabs patched lv2

if your firmware is below 3.56 You can just get another drive and bmd-006 logic board and remarry the system. The 40gb uses a 16 nand chip that is much easier to remarry and you will retain blue ray movie play back abillitey. The drives are about half the price as the other fat ps3s as well.
