Need some opinions!

Ok, so I have two phat ps3's that are both backwards compatible models. Both are on 4.30 Ermac CFW right now, one has a dead laser lens (getting replaced in about 2 weeks). I am debating on upgrading one to official firmware to play a few games with friends of mine on PSN without the risk of getting banned for having custom firmware installed even if its a game i legally own and the disc is in the system running the game. I would also like to state i DO NOT download any of these hacked game saves with "god modes" or anything like that, it takes all the fun out of the game and you are left with wandering around the game bored after 5 minutes.

TLDR: Should I upgrade one of my ps3's to latest firmware to play my games i play with friends online and keep 1 ps3 on CFW. or keep both on CFW and take the risk of one getting banned.

sell one to the comunity and with the money buy a new ultra slim for online play (I would hate to see another hackable PS3 go legit)

well after talking with a friend, I am going to upgrade it. For what I would sell it for, I would basically be trading an old phat for a ps3 that isnt backwards compatible and I do not want to lose that feature at all in case one of them craps out on me, I would like to have that option available to me. Granted ps2's are all of $60 new now, I dont really have the spare money to shell out ussually if that happened. So ill be updating here shortly this morning. If i ever wanted to go back to CFW with it as well i have that option by getting an E3 flasher (again if the cfw one craps out on me, i have an option). Obviously from what i stated above I couldnt shell the money out for the flasher right away but I would rather have that option than an ofw ps3 and a regular ps2.

Hope that logic makes sense lol.

It would have to be a Progskeet, as E3 has never added wireless Nand support
