OK I guess im a little lost on why isn't there a CFW for 4.30ofw. Im taking about for the people that on 4.30ofw. Not trying to be a smart ass. I just really like to know why has not one been made yet. I don't understand the process. We got CFW for 4.30 if you are on 3.50 but not for 4.30ofw. We got the keys right? I must not seeing the bigger picture here cuz i truly don't understand. Anyways can someone please explain to me why? I think I'm not the only wanting to know. I'm just not afraid to look like a dumb ass on line for asking lol.I was on 3.55 then on rogero 4.30 but the my system too a crap with YLOD. Not im have a spare and its On 4.30ofw. So I'm hoping one day I can enjoy CFW and Homebrew again. Any how... Any info would be great and thank you.

Simply put, we have the private keys for signing firmwares that 3.55 OFW will accept. They were obtained because of a flaw in Sony's implementation of ECDSA (Elliptic Curve DSA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), but has since been fixed. We also have the lv0 keys, which in turn allows access to the public keys for any new OFW. With these things we can decrypt new OFW, and resign them so that 3.55 OFW will accept the update.
What we do not have, and likely will never have, is the private keys for signing firmwares above 3.55. The only hope for a new soft mod for PS3s above 3.55, is if we discover a flaw in the hardware or software. This unfortunately is unlikely as well, but you never know.
Here's another page to help you understand the type encryption/signing scheme like ECDSA: Public-key cryptography - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
