The PSU the PS3 (CECH-2501A - JSD-001 Mobo) had originally come with burned, so I removed it and started using an ATX PSU to provide the necessary power. It all worked perfectly untill one day the new PSU blew up (Most likely my fault for being a cheap-ass and buying one without "real" watts)... I went ahead and purchased a new one, only to discover that the PS3 would turn on perfectly and with sound, but no picture at all. There's no way to make it display anything.

After opening it up I discovered this (bottom side of the motherboard, right next to the HDD connector):

I apologize for the horrible lighting, and awful phone camera.
So here's my question, can somebody help me identify what component it is? Whatever was written on it was erased when it broke.
Also, can it be replaced or am I screwed?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Possibly burned component aside, have you tried to reset the video by holding down the power button until it beeps? I sometimes have to do that on occasion when switching TVs.

Yes I did, googled and tried everything. There's one thing left to try though, apparently someone has almost the same problem as me and the PS3 still works through a DVI-HDMI cable, not through regular HDMI as I'm currently trying.
I'll try to get the cable tomorrow and try it out, I'll update with the results. Still it sucks not being able to use it through regular HDMI, bye bye TV from the couch gaming.

I found what the component says on top on a close-up picture: "35241".
Still, can't find that anywhere on ps3devwiki.
