so i have a 60 gb ps3 which the bd controller was hosed (bga fw chip was destroyed) so i got new board from an 80 gig system (also a bc model) which the motherboard was fried with a heat gun. as many of you know there is no way to remarry the bd board as of yet. but what about a nand transplant? both are 256 mb bc systems. are the nands per cpu encrypted? would i also need to change the wireless? multi card reader? network chip? has anyone tried this with any success?

    thanks

I'm not sure on how the PS3 equipment marrying works... But if it's anything like the 360 (I believe it is..) your going to need to do a CPU transplant and then possibly the NAND chips on top of that..

I seen a few ppl online offering this type of service on 360's.. Pricey, but doable..

Is there any chance that a dev might release a way of pairing these boards together.
I am sitting here with 3 fully functional machines with fully finctional BD drives which are not from their original machines.
I want to offload them as fully working but can't because of this damn mis-matching.
I will have to sell them as a non-functional BD drive if nothing is in the pipeline.
By the time someone comes out with this $ony will probably release the PS4 lol.
    Mac.
