Malfunctional ps3 bd drive
I own a launch model 60gb ps3 fat with 3.55 kmew custom firmware.
I had ylod, but by using hot gun i fixed it and the ps3 was running fine (I have kept my ps3 caseless since then thoug).
Accidentally I broke the little plastic thing that presses the bd ribbon cable down to the motherboard, trying to fix that problem I think I've ****ed up my bd logic board because I made it touch with the nearby power source and the ps3 shut down and the bd drive makes no more moves since then!!!
So now I have 2 problems: the bd ribbon cable to the motherboard and a ****ed up bd drive(I suppose the logic board ).
Fact is that I tried to reconnect everything a first time and I could access multiman and launch backups! But no signal of the presence of the disc in the xmb nor any sign of movements from the bd drive...
Unfortunately I thougth it was a ribbon related problem so I destroyed the first home-made connection to the motherboard, but now I can't access multiman anymore even if I made an home-made connection again (by keeping a burnden on the ribbon cable near the attach to the motherboard).
What can I do now? If I was able to access multiman once it means that something still works in my bd drive, right?
