Ive been told that you people can help me play PS2 games on PS3

Older versions of the ps3 can play ps2 games. Sony took out backwards compatibility though from newer ps3s. Launch date ps3s have backwards compatibility for ps2 & ps1 games. Newer ones don't have the proper hardware to run ps2 games, but ps1 games have always run on the ps3 through emulation, so ps1 games will work on all ps3s.

I know you can PS1 games on my PS3.......I dont want to play PS1 games

Whats the whole jailbreaking your PS3 is about? Ive been told that you can play PS3 games through this. Is this true?

wow, hes just giving you the info you failed to look for cus you want everything handed to you, no need to be like that, if anything that should have been directed at me and not him, you need to search and do your homework before you brick your ps3, freaking demanding kids now a days

Ive been on search dude. You know it doesnt help searching when you dont have a clue what you suppose to search. Ive got absolute no idea about this, so get off my nuts

Jailbreaking wont allow ps2 games on your ps3 if it doesn't already have ps2 compatibility on it. The hardware isn't in newer ps3s to run ps2 games. Maybe one day, jailbroken ps3s may get ps2 compatibility on newer models through emulation alone, but for now, you should just buy a ps2 for ps2 games or search online for a used launch date ps3.

yeah.. for ps2 games buy a ps2.. the emulation of ps2 games on backward compatible ps3's are not 100% anyways
