internal hdd issues.. –
hi there, my friend accidentialy updated my 3.55 ps3 to 3.66. he put in pes2012, so the update was installed. he bought me a new one now and i wanted to copy my old internal (now 3.66) to the new one with the data transfer utility and an ethernet cable. when i tried first i got the message that i need to update, thats because you need the same firmare on source and target system. so i installed the 3,66 spoofer from rebug in order to simulate 3.66 on the new 3.55. after that i tried again but i won't even get an connection between the 2 systems any more. it always tells me that the ethernet cable is not connected. i got so much stuff on the old internal, would be shitty to lose all this stuff. any ideas? thx.
Have you tried it a few times?
You gotta get the timing just right.
if you're going directly from ps3 to ps3, you'll need an ethernet cross cable. if there's a hub/switch inbetween the 2 ps3s, then you use regular ethernet cables. an ethernet cross cable just swaps the rx/tx signals so that 2 sources can communicate directly without a hub/switch inbetween them, similar to a null-modem adapter for old-school serial (db9) communications
