installing Games takes ages

Hi,

I just bought yesterday a new PS3 320GB, upgraded to firmware 3.55 and then installed Kmeaw 3.55 firmware. Got GM and MM installed.

As I then wanted to play Uncharted 2 from original disk it had to install software update. That took about 30 min. Then I installed other games like Hard Rain and that took min 40min up an hour.

My HDD isn't that full yet so I am wondering what is wrong

Nothing's wrong with what you've described.

What seems to be happening is the more individual files the game is made up of, the longer the copy will take.

For example, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing. It's 3.5GB but includes hundreds of small sound files. It takes over 2 hours to copy and that's using the latest MM.
