Install multiple patches at once?
Install multiple patches at once? –
ive been looking all over the net for a better pkg installing app.
i got a new ps3 because my old one broke, and i wanna be able to install all my game updates at once..
is this possible?
what homebrew would i use?
There is no homebrew that can do that at this time, I'm sure it's possible just nobody has made anything to do this yet.
here's what I do when I have a ton of pkg files to install at the same time. I create folders on my usb hard drive called packages1, packages2, packages3, etc. The reason for doing this is that there are sometimes multiple updates for the same game. Pain for example has 5 and they need to be installed in order. This applies for the duplex psn releases as well. You need to install those in a specific order. Install, then patch(es) then crack. I put the bulk of my pkg files in the packages1 folder, the updates in packages2, 3, 4, etc as needed, and the crack files always in the last numbered folder. I plug my usb drive into my ps3 in the right hand slot. Go into multiman's file manager and move all of the packages1 files into the root of the drive. Exit out and go to install packages from standard location hit triangle and select install all packages. When that finishes, go back into multiman, delete all of the pkg files from the root of the usb drive and move all of the packages2\*.pkg files to the root and repeat the process as many times as necessary. I think it's currently the easiest way to install a whole bunch of stuff at once. I've been reinstalling everything the last few days after my hard drive crashed and it's nice to be able to let it run and walk away from it or let it run overnight depending on the amount of stuff you've got ready to go
Ignore this. You do not have to install them one by one if you download them using your pc and use the instructions I provided

thanks, i was about to install package manager v0.9
I take it you found what I was talking about hitting the triangle button to pull up the menu that has install all packages. I think package manager 0.9 has it as well. It is the closest thing your going to find for easy package installation. If you use PS3 list 1.9 and point it to your game folder on your usb drive and hit check updates, then download updates, it will download all of the available updates at one time for you. You can set it to store the updates in the individual game folder or in a central location of your choice for easy installation with the method I mentioned above
