Don't believe it till I see it. Besides, if it's true it's likely to be expensive and it's probably not gonna be as good as other chips which are specifically been designed for the console.
modchips are out...the next gen consoles are too Operating System / General Purpose CPU based to be properly exploited by a modchip.
Its like modding a PC motherboard so that StarForce protection cant access the IDE drives via the chipset through programmed mode. Its only a temporary solution.
The protection is not solely implemented in hardware like the PS2 or PS1.
Cracked firmware is the future of backups and the PSP is the prime example of it.
Is there too much $$$ at stake for modchips to be out of the picture? I think so. Someone will come up with a modchip for PS3. Some of us hope real soon.
LOL, looks to me like it has like 40 wire points. hehehe I cant wait for a real PS3 modchip to come out, thats only has 100 wire points to solder, and all of them on cpu pins and such. hehe this should be fun to install.
its obviously fake anyone who doubts is stupid
Crap it's not fake. Developed by the Titan team aka Origa brothers. I have a few of them. The idea on PS3 is the same as the PSP, in the beginning you will have to use an exploitable FW like v1.00 and 1.50 on PSP, only much later will you be abble to use a full blown custom FW. Development like this is the first step towards custom FW.
