I had this problems a few months ago when I was playing around on PS Home. I disabled that media server and for some reason the problem went away. Not saying that's your problem, but it's worth a try.

First off, a little more info in the title would be better when posting a problem.

My friend had the same issue when he plugged into my network, I think we solved it by changing his IP, his ps3 was trying to use my roomates computer IP. Was solve by messing with the network setting on the PS3 side. I forget what we did exactly. Just didnt want u going out and buying new hardware on the computer or router side.

Make sure your router allows connections from wireless devices and that you haven't changed the routers WLAN settings.

Also make sure if its connecting wirelessly make sure its not set to wired.

Here is some stuff I saw on other forums:
ERROR 8001000A: cannot connect or login to PSN
FIX: Turn off / Disable"Automatic network time" from PS3 settings menu.

Edit: to save you some frustration, the "Automatic Networking Time" is located in the Date and Time settings.
