Help very confused?

Hi im installing kmeaw on my ps3 tonight, i been googling and reading up on all this stuff this entire week, but every time i think i have an understanding of it, i read something else that confuses me! Can someone please answer these ?s for me?

After I install kmeaw what else do i have to install?

what is Kmeaw lv2 Patcher, signed and unsigned apps, pl3, pkg, eboot?

I appreciate your help to anyone who helps me

Also after i backup a game, do i have to install any other files for the game to work?
