HELP SETTING UP MEDIA PLAYER

hey guys i was just wondering if you could give me some advice i was wanting to stream my movies to ps3 and i was just wandering what is the best media server to do that with. I have tried one of them but had a bad result it caused a blue screen on 2 of my laptops both win 7 64bit not sure what the name was.I was just looking @ Universal media player here today what would you think? I have my movies and tv shows on hdd boxes.And i am sick of changing them around each time to look @ anything. Some advice would be great or even a few ideas where to start. PLEX

Install and run plex media server on the PC that will serve as host. External HD's connected
to this PC will all be useable.

Once installed and populated with media, the PS3 will recognize and display the
plex logo. You can now steam your media via plex to a ps3, droid,ios device and various media servers.

Thats seems nice and simple do you know if it gives trouble on the pc and if it works with win 7 64bit thanks again can it be got on PSXSCENE?

Anybody have any idea about setting up plex it seems to be freezing on playback on standard ps3 media player? But have to say it looks really good on showtime get the covers and all but when i press x to play it keeps bringing back up the covers and won't play. Can anybody help?

Could it be that showtime might need a plugin just google it an found Showtime-Plex-Client or would the new showtime already have it? don't want to ruin showtime any help would be great THANKS

hey guys is there any chance you could tell me how to manually install a plugin in showtime not the one in mm. The showtime on its owen if that makes sense pleeeeese it driving me crazy.

ah come on guys a little help would go along way for god sake, ive installed that plex plugin from Dahlgren does anybody know anything about it or is it old they said to put it in Showtime USRDIR on the PS3 have done that but still can't see the plugin what could i be doing wrong? Its gone very quite on this site lately i say again any help would be great.
