Having trouble with activating PS2 content

Hey!

First of all: if this isn't the right place to post a new thread, please move it.

I just bought Max Payne (PS2) on PSN, but I can't activate/download it. It gives me "An error occured during the install operation. (80029780)" and when I look that up and try the solutions it doesn't help. I just deactivated and reactivated my console and changed my login e-mailadress, but it still happens when I try to download it.

After that I also can't download other things, but when I try to do that BEFORE I try it with Max Payne it DOES work, so it's a Max Payne problem. Does anyone else tried to download PS2 games now we can go on PSN with CFW again? I'm on TB firmware (going online without the dongle) but I don't think that doesn't matter.

PS: English isn't my first language ánd it's past 2:00AM here, so if my sentences are a bit weird you'll know why that is. :-)

Unfortunately the ACT.DAT that handles PSN activations was changed since 3.55 was taken offline the first time. You are not able to download anything that needs an activation file. I sent you a PM that will put you in touch with somebody that can fix your problem so you can at least get what you paid for. I can't post the link here on the public forums but he's the man to go to with this kind of thing. Check your inbox

Strange for me. I have downloaded and activate all my previously bought games with no problem.

@Berion Also PS2 games? I don't have problems activating previously bought DLC, only after trying to activate Max Payne.

So I've misunderstand you. I thought you have problem with all activations (which mean with: all contents) after you try activate new bought stuff. I have stop buying anything from PSS after sue waves, so I just only downloaded stuff which I bought before first CFW - and with this I didn't have any problems (I preserve only act.dat, and PS3 will do the rest of job during choosing content from download list).

i know this is old but im having a similar problem:

i accessed my PSN account with F**kPSN and downloaded one of my recent purchases.
Now i come back to login on my OFW and i cant activate my PS3 or download anything from store:

I get:
An error occured during the install operation. (80029780)


Do you know how to fix this? i login to qriocity and my account shows 0 activated devices.

Any help appreciated
