I only ask this because when I tried to upgrade my ofw 3.55 in recovery, the system couldn't find the usb, always just said the 'checking' and hung for 10 minutes and did nothing. But when I tried to update from the xmb in normal mode it picked up the USB and worked fine. Now I'm back and in FSM trying to do this remarry. Could the USB not working be a cause of my problems? You see when I start the remarry process, the usb light flashes for a second then stops, where as before when I have done this the usb light should flash all of the time. Can anybody help shed any light on this?

    Thanks

just to be sure, format it to fat 32, and only put the update folder on your USB drive, nothing else,
and did you start the QA toggle?
