For thoses of you that swapped their internal HDD for a bigger one, here's a little guide on how to use it as an external HDD, for less than 5$
In my case, i already had an USB 2.0 SATA hard disk enclosure, but i still ordered another one here :
USB 2.0 2.5" SATA HARD DISK DRIVE HDD CASE ENCLOSURE - Cost 4$ shipped
After you received it, just install your HDD inside of the enclosure, and use a utility like HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool to format your disk as FAT32
This was fairly easy to do, once you get the enclosure it takes about 5 minutes from installing your HDD and formating, and hooking it on your PS3.
Using this method, i was able to give a second life to my 160GB HDD that i replaced from my SLIM PS3. If you don't want to use it on your PS3, you could still use it as a portable hard drive. Way better than just bitting dust in a box, and cheap!
