God of War 3 Saves not loading

So I backed up God of War 3 on my internal ps3 slim 120gb and it loads fine but its not recognizing my old saves anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
or am I going to have to just start all over?

make sure u have the correct version, either pal of ntsc.

I am having similar problem, where the game sees my saves but says I can't use them since they are not my own.

Can't sign in with my old psn account so that's my problem.

the problem is the region.. ps3 dont restrict game region but saves does... and as smx say account issue too..
