Getting Started with HxD

So I am new to this scene and I'm having trouble navigating the site because this netbook is a piece of crap. lol
I was wondering if someone could kindly point me int he correct direction to help get me started.

I'm trying to mod my White Knight Chronicles International Edition and came across this site's old WKC page with mods on it. I tried searching out the code mentioned therein, but could not find it. I don't know what it is refering to what it says to decrypt the SELF file, so I believe I am missing a step.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Decrypt the SELF
If you want the Said Code Put Code Steps in here
Before re-encrypting and re-compressing the ELF, make sure to update hard-coded paths (replace the /dev_bdvd paths to valid /dev_hdd0 paths)
Encrypt the SELF
Build the .pkg.
Install the .pkg, then depending on how you build the .pkg, transfer remaining files.

Doing all that manually sounds like a pain. There is a trainer pkg for that game. It's 10mb, and I can send it to you somehow if you would like.
