using the newest multiman, i ftped a backup to the hdd0/GAMES directory, the backup itself does not show on the list of games, how exactly should the directory look ? but back to my initial problem, since i didint see the backup there, i went to the file manager and tried to play it via the eboot.bin, video was temporaily disabled, and a silver and green circle surrounded by a black screen.
what does this mean, what should the directory look like, and is replacing a modified eboot.bin the equivalent of patching ?
The game folder should be labeled by the game's ID number (you may already know this part). This is four uppercase letters followed by a 5-digit number. For instance, if you're using a US game, the four letter will probably be BLUS, followed by the 5 digit number. Soul Calibur 4 is BLUS30160, for just one example. Inside that folder should be folders like PS3_GAME, PS3_UPDATE, etc. (the files and folders for the game itself).
Using Soul Calibur again, your file directory would be like:
I don't know much about patching eboots, but I don't think you need to if you're using 3.55.
