game updates

sorry for this but i have looked everywhere, how do u install the game updates? i hear it is now possible to do, or can u just post me the link so i can read the thread..... thanks

It's not possible, sadly It's a VERY rare case where updates work for a Jailbreak game, but for 99.9% of the games out there; it doesn't work.

what about if people that have the games post the update files online? not sure if this would fall under the illegal files rules?

It's not about posting the updates online (there's a pretty extensive section on PS3News that has game updates available for download) - it's about getting them to install and then authenticate. 9 times out of 10 the actual installer fails on first-run, since you're running in Jailbreak "Dev" mode and you're trying to install retail signed update packages. This fails.

You also can't extract the PKG updates and overwrite your installed game data, since most updates take their cues from the eboot.bin and unless the game was dumped via BM/OBM, then the eboot.bin from the update won't be decrypted and thus, won't run in JB mode.
