game, GAMES & GAMEZ Folders?!?!?!

I realized I had 3 different game folders.

I knew that 'game' folder was for homebrew apps and ps3 game data
I knew GAMEZ were for rips (deleted the 'GAMEZ' folder to change my directory to 'BDRIPS' using gaia)

Then I noticed a 'GAMES' folder. But it's empty and I don't think it's ever used. I'm guessing maybe it was created when I tested backupmanager 2 but am not sure.

Does it have a purpose or
Is it okay to delete this folder ?

Yeah, it's okay to delete as it's not a system folder.
