How many times can a NAND be flashed before it is no good?I work on industrial machinery. After flashing a number of times. The chip's performance slows down and eventually stops working all together.Sometimes they can be flashed 20 times, sometimes 200 times before they are no good.Is Sony trying to limit the number of firmware updates because of this?I would limit the amount of CFM flashes to a minimum, considering it is a consumer product.

A googolplex of times. More times that you will get in a life time. Don't worry about it. Sony didn't implement what is called an "eFuse" into the firmware like Microsoft did.
