    Hi

I have a 320G HDD in my PS3. During a copy operation, the power went off.

When I restarted my PS3, all the free space was gone; however, I know for sure that I should have more available. Are there any tools to scan and fix the hdd?

    Thanks.

Try going to recovery mode and selecting option 4, I doubt you can save anything from the HDD since they're all encrypted to a single console.

As Mistawes said you can select rebuild database and/or files from recovery mode. If that doesn't work you may have to reformat the HDD.

went to recovery, performed rebuild database, selected also "restore filesystem" - no luck.

I'll reformat; backup and restore take insane amounts of time though

Hmm, yeh try formatting to NTFS on your PC and then insert it into the PS3. It will ask to format it on the PS3 after, but that should fix it, since it'll be like it's a new HDD.

If that doesn't do it, there could be a problem with the drive that means it could need replacing or a more severe fix.

    Best of luck!
oralphie: Will this allow chuck norris to play backups??? PLZ HELP!!!
