Disc image generator not formatting any discs?

I've been trying to follow a guide to get BD Emulation working and everything is set up and working fine, except for the fact that I cannot finish and make the BD emulation flash drive.

I have tried a total of 5 or more different flash drives/external hardrives and no matter what the program will not format it/partition it for the emulation. Everytime it returns an error "failed to format use other tool (5)" and then my drives stop showing up in the list at all. I've reformatted every drive using the windows format utility as well as separate programs and now none of them are even detected in ps3gen. I am running it as admin as well as xp service pack compatibility and no matter what I do I cannot format them if I even get the drives to show up (they show up fine in my computer though). I have also tried it on different computers with the same problems. One time I was able to get ONE flash drive formatted, but when trying to put the ISO on it I kept getting an error, tried reformatting it and it's acting the same as all of the others now.

Can anyone help with this? The only things I've been able to find are "try running as administrator" and nothing fixes this problem.

update all your drivers for your pc, maybe that will help.

turn off UAC on your computer, if that doesn't work format the usb for BD-Emulation in the ps3 DEX Debug menu, not the QA flag menu or the Rebug menu
