devflash \ ps2emu
I just put CFW on my PS3 for Linux but install Linux not just put in disc and install. I must wait until that state. I notice under devflash there is ps1emu, ps2emu and pspemu all populated with SELF file. Why are these on my Big Boy PS3? Can I use them to emulate ps1, ps2 and psp? thankz and gr8 site
Well, the files on their folders do what they say it does. Everyone knows all PS3 models can read PS1 games, and BC models play PS2 games, thats what those selfs are for.
(Also no there is no way to play PS2 games on a non-BC console with those files).
As for pspemu, it only is for minis.
Can't you decompile these SELF's and reroute them to an ISO file.
Cobra USB allows ISO loading for PSX and PS2 games.

I don't even know where to start.
Those selfs are system files used by the XMB to emulate PS1 and PS2 games when you insert a retail disc (or load a backup via Cobra USB). Is it that hard to understand?
