dev_flash3 missing!

i have the cechg01 40gb fat. i upgraded my hd to 500gb and now the only file in my dev_flash3 is the ocrl.
i searched plenty and have found the drls for the highest mkb movie i played but where can i get the rest of the files?
i have tried putting the old hd back in and reformating, rebuilding file system and still the dev_flash3 is empty cept for the ocrl file.
how can i get the other files for my dev_flash3?
i need the crl file, the and the srm file.

If you've never downgraded, just play the latest bluray movie you can find and it will create the drl files for you.

It gives me the error 80029962(think that's it?) Its the regular error for bluray. When I try to play the bluray is when I get the error. And when I tried to put in the drl files for the 3 movies with a 19mkb I get the error bd playback is prohibited.
And is going from kmeaw 3.55 to ofw3.55 to upgrade my hdd a downgrade?

Nope, shouldn't be. Did you purchase this PS3 2nd hand? Do you know if it's ever been downgraded? I'm guessing this is a phat PS3. If so, what's the model number (CE # on the back of the PS3)

Edit: Downgrade is only considered actually going to a lower firmware. Ex: 3.55 -> 3.41 or 3.41 -> 3.15, etc.

it is a fat 40 gig, the number is cechg01.
and yes it was second hand from a place called gamestop and it originally came with 3.15. and no i never went to a lower firmware. only from a custom to an offical to upgrade my hdd.
it is one of the fats with a 256 nand that alot of people have been having problems with.
i am using comgenie to paste/copy in the drl files. can this program edit the def_flash correctly or should i try an ftp method?

Comgenie should be fine. That's odd, as if it's never been downgraded, you shouldn't be having an issue w/ bluray playback. Upgrading your HDD on a 256mb NAND unit doesn't even wipe the firmware (I should know, I've got 2 of them). Does the ps3 play games just fine though?

yeah plays fine, plays back ups fine and plays regular dvds fine. burnt dvds too.
is there a way to completely restore back to how it first came with the original hard drive i still have?
the last bluray i played was the hangover and the next day i upgraded my hdd.
the first time i tried was on kmeaw 3.55 and it wouldnt format the hdd so i went back to ofw 3.55 and it formatted the hdd just fine and then i upgraded again to kmeaw 3.55 and the next time i tried to watch a bluray it gave me the error 8029962. i goolged that and then went and found the drl's for the newest movies i had played and when i went to edit the dev_flash3 there was only the oclr file!
and every where i have looked for the cechg01 dev_flash3 file it only has the drl1 and drl2 files. i know that there are supposed to be 4 files in the data revoke file and they are the oclr, clr,srm and drl. but mine is missing the crl and the srm?
