Date time issue
I recently fitted a 1tb hard drive in my fat ps3 and had to alter the hard drive bay to make it fit and ended up having to unplug the internal clock battery to get to everything I needed to get to. I restored my hard drive backup with all of my paid for PSN content (Pain, Stardust etc.) but now when I try to play any of it an error message tells me I cannot play until I set the time and date from the internet and when I try to do that it tells me I need to perform a system update to use this feature.
Is there a way around this? If not I can always download cracked copies off the net but as I have already paid for it all I'd rather find a way to set the time by internet instead.
Thanks in advance.
what they cracked psn stuff already?
turn off your internet then change the time
Tried that, no joy. It seems to set the time by internet you needto connect to psn :S

It just seems stupid that you need the latest firmware just to set the damn time!
Note to mods: This isn't meant as a warez discussion, just trying to find a way to set the time by internet without updating (I have a backup of act.dat from before I upgraded my hard drive) to get my paid for content working again!
