Ok basically I have missed a lot of development. So could anyone help me catch up with some basic questions?

    1. If I have my consoles wireless internet settings off, no cable, and all internet access blocked, can I be picked up on at all? I have 2 PS3s and dont want to lose access on the legit one

    2. I heard the latest Multiman has NTFS, Is it capable of copying to my HDD from USB? or playing from USB? (my dead Blu-Ray is keeping the old machine out of use at the moment)

    3. Provided 1 and 2 were a yes, Which CFW would be best with the latest MultiMan? I wanted to dodge the initial influx of CFW due to bricking. Seems I fell back a bit further than planned.

    4. Final one, any closer to playing PS2 games on HDD on a backwards compatable console?

Sorry these sound like noobs questions guys, I was following developments a lot at first, and its kind of hard to catch up right now since the news is filled with law suits etc.

    1. No internet access = Sony not knowing what you're doing

    2. It's only copy support at this time

    3. Dead blu-ray is going to be tough to update to anything. During the update process the PS3 checks for bad components and will cancel out the firmware update if it finds any.

    4. Not yet.

    No.

You can copy from NTFS to internal, but you can't copy from internal to NTFS. And you can't play games from NTFS.

    3. Provided 1 and 2 were a yes, Which CFW would be best with the latest MultiMan? I wanted to dodge the initial influx of CFW due to bricking. Seems I fell back a bit further than planned.
It really depends. I personally like Waninkoko v2, but many people swear by Kmeaw instead. One choice is to use 3.41 hermes v4b CFW, but then you need to hassle around with eboot files on some games to make them work.

    4. Final one, any closer to playing PS2 games on HDD on a backwards compatable console?
Atleast MultiMan can't launch PS2 backups and I am not aware of any way of doing that at all as of now.

Sorry these sound like noobs questions guys
    Don't forget us chicks, too!
Playstation 3, Waninkoko V2, 1 terabyte internal HDD.

1.- As long as the cfw console isn't connected to PSN, you will be fine. The other one won't be banned if it hasn't CFW.

2.- You can only read NTFS on multiman. Basically, when you return to XMB, the games won't work.

3.- So far, for me, the best CFW is 3.55 Kmeaw.

    4.- Don't really know.

Just to clarify #3 - If your drive is there, but the laser is bad, you can install a new firmware. If the drive is fully dead (bad logic board), then it will fail when trying to install a firmware.
