Calling all Console Repairers
Calling all Console Repairers –

Back in the PS2 days we had TONS of posts relating to nothing BUT repairing weird, random PS2 issues. Today there is seems to be nothing, no repairs or anything related to the PS3 of value.
I want to know why the PS3 has been out for a few years now but noone has been able to fix the blinking red lights or any other major hardware issues on the ps3 but the 360's fix is replace bolts and heatgun the CPU/GPU.
I am not an electrical engineer but have taken part in many a test. Is there a solution for blinking red lights BESIDES the hard drive issue which hasn't worked on the 20 ps3's I had in for repair?
I don't even see any of my old pals on here much anymore, TheTieger,
Agent21KGB, Netmech, Loy !

I repair consoles and various electronics, but as yet have not had anyone ask me to repair a PS3. What exactly does the PS3 do besides have blinking red lights. I'm guessing it doesn't display anything on screen?
If replacing the HDD has fixed some PS3s, (but apparently none you have tried it on), has anyone who has fixed it with a new HDD, tried to scan the old one?
Perhaps a low level scan to see if the HDD is getting corrupted, or if the HDD has a firmware that the PS3 doesn't like?

haven't seen those guys in quite some time. Netmech retired from modding before all the ICE raids went down, but he slowly drifted off, Loy has been on occasionally, but the others are scarce.

This is very true. I have a 20GB model mainboard thats yellow light - anyone have any leads on what there is to check??
Tried everything modular.. which was the drives and the psu. Thinking about reflowing but honestly all those tiny bga are intimidating me.. still not too great with the IR station either
