I have the same problem with the blu ray, i never watch blu rays on my PS3,
so i dont mind, i just wait on a better CFW, cause overall i like the Wanikoko CFW + Rogero manager.

I dont want to inject the PKG everytime i want to start a backup manager,
like with this new KMEAW CFW, its one step forward but one step back, imo.

I am using KMEAW's CFW and Blue Ray works so long as I don't load up the LV2 package. If it's loaded into memory then blue ray doesn't work. But a simple reboot of the PS3 solves that

If you have a 256mb NAND, I think you might be a little screwed.

    Have you tried this method:

    1. Put your DVD/Bluray in the drive
    2. Open up your BM and select the blank disk (doesn't have any description) to load. Don't direct boot.
    3. Now at the XMB, find the disk icon and press X on it. This should load your movie.

This is what we had to do on JB 3.41 if we wanted to load a DVD/Blu-ray while jailbroken.

Edit: BTW guys, you only lose playback functionality when you downgrade a 256MB phat. What's happening here is that the payload has taken over the redirection of dev_bdvd, so it doesn't understand how to load it appropriately. Try my instructions above and it should work.
