Black Screen

I think I did something stupid and I am hoping someone can help.

My TV is a 1080i and when I was setting the settings I saw a setting for 1080P but not 1080i so I said lets me what it will do, so I set it to 1080P. Well the screen went black and the manual is no help. Anyone know how I can maybe reset the system or something?

Well first of all what is your hdtv brand and model?

Also, how did you change the settings from 1080i to p?

Black screen with no interface display (by the tv or remote controls) and/or no audio too?

Is there any media or input source you can use that outputs at 1080p to test if your TV is actually set to recieving a 1080p signal?

I would ask for support from your tv's manufacturer but sometimes they can be a pain to deal with.

Ok, what type of connector are you using?
To reset your display settings hold down the power button for 5 seconds or so and reset the display settings. Then the PS3 will prompt you to auto pick the best display settings to use.
Do so and it should be all good.

Now i feel like a dumbass. I thought he was referring to his TV only.
