Any solution for PS3 firmware 3.56 v1 HDD swap?
Any solution for PS3 firmware 3.56 v1 HDD swap? –

Hi guys, sorry for this thread!!
I have been looking for a solution since past two months without any success.
I have one PS3 with OFW 3.56 v1. As we know this OFW 3.56 v1 has a bug for HDD Swap.
I don´t have my original HDD.
Should I have any hope? Any lights in the end of the tunnel?
I appreciate any help on that.
Thanks in advance
Regards,
ZerO

Phone Sony up and explain the problem and ask for a replacement, I know someone that that's worked for!

probably not since it's not $ony's fault their OFW bricked your console because of an advertised function, not their fault at all
$ony is a cancer

not tested but try getting ahold of another sony hard drive (40gig for example, a friends) copy its firmware and then write that onto another hard drive same size thats compatible, might brick the drive though if so swap the firmware back.

You can't copy the firmware because the drive is encrypted. The only way to fix this problem is with a NOR flasher i.e. Infectus 2

Exactly, hdd is encrypted.
@master737373: I have infectus, but my doubt is how to fix it without a true nand backup?
Thanks for all the replies... I´m gonna fix it

This will explain how to fix it without a working NAND dump

also, if/when you get through with that infectus, I'd buy it from you
