any help appreciated

Well I have a fat ps3 loaded with rogero 4.31 and multiman 4.20.03. Everything was working fine before any jailbreaking was done. Now when I put a disc in the drive in the xmb it sometimes recognizes disc and sometimes does not. when I enter multiman it mirrors what xmb was doing as far as recognizing the disc. When disc is not recognized (shows a disc there but does not recognize what disc it is)and I try to copy disc it says it is not allowed and if the disc was recognized it hangs during copy at different places. I have looked all over the forums and can not find anything to help me. Please help. This happens with all 32 games I own if I try to back up. And yes Ive tried them all and whatever advice I can find but same thing.
